Why did you choose to go to Rome, Italy?

It was compulsory from my school. My second semester was in Rome.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I got only tuition fees exempted rest I had to receive money from my home to finance my living costs.

What is the student lifestyle like in Rome?

It is busy, but make sure you take care of your belongings because people easily steal there.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Rome to other students?

Yes, it is pretty good as long as you follow the Italian language a little and the customs of cleanliness and food.

What is the food like?

Food is amazing, but as an Indian not that spicy.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Rome?

Well staying in Rome is expensive and depends on the area too.

How much does it cost to live in Rome?

If you want to live near the city center make sure you have a minimum of 500-600 Euros ready per month with bills included.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

I am not sure but Italian is pretty easy if you keep talking in Italian every day.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Rome from your city?

Mostly walking and having a metro pass.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Rome?

Yes but make sure you are not at the wrong place at the wrong time.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Rome?

Well I lived in Ostiense area, and has amazing restaurants on the street. Also Trastevere and Testaccio has amazing cafes and restaurants.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Its Rome. Google and you will know. Pretty easy. Make sure visit the smaller sites like Piramide and free museums in Villa Borghese.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Rome in the future?

Just be careful about yourself, don't get in trouble, small things like purses and wallets or phones get stolen easily so keep your bags closer than ever. Do not leave it unattended. And then you are good to go!
