Why did you choose to go to Rome, Italy?

The passion of the glory something you can't satisfy it easily without being in Rome. When you are in Rome, you can feel an overdose of history coming like a flow in front of you.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

My scholarship is for two years it's a Master's degree in political economics and I'm receiving 1000 euro.

What is the student lifestyle like in Rome?

Rome is a city full of opportunities, you can belong to any group, or believe whatever still you can gain a lot of opportunities to enjoy the city, nightlife, museums, music and a lot.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Rome to other students?

Recommend is something less, I think the best way to tell is: Benvenuti a Roma (Welcome to Rome).

What is the food like?

Pizza, pasta, parmigiana... The passion itself.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Rome?

Yes, actually I think Rome is one of the most expensive cities for the accommodation.

How much does it cost to live in Rome?

1000 Euro can be enough really if you wanna live with a normal standards.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available in the University?

Usually, faculty of oriental studies in La Sapienza, provide Erasmus student with a free Italian courses, the language itself is not complicated, let's say if you want to study well you can easily start speaking within a couple of months.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Rome from your city?

Airplane.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Rome?

  • San Lorenzo: is a place full of Italian students when you can interact with them so easily, and drink your beer in "La piazzitta".
  • Pigneto: almost the same as San Lorenzo.
  • Testacio: the street of Discos near Piramdie, it's highly recommended if you like to dance.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Rome?

  • "Ali baba": for ethnic food.
  • "Napoli": in Castro Pretorio for Italian stuff.
  • "Giullitte": for the ice-cream.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

  • Colosseum
  • Piazza del Popolo
  • Piazza Spagna
  • Audituriem
  • Casa del Jazz

Is there any other advice that you could give to future students who are going to Rome?

You want to gain the maximum from Rome, live it with the spirit of Roman Emperor.
