Student Cake Recipe

Let me share with you the exact recipe for "student cake" :)...

Actually, everyone who lives in Turkey knows it. Generally, they called it a Mosaic Cake but (! ) this recipe will be kind of different. If you live in a dormitory or somewhere else, when somebody comes to you for a cup of tea or when you simply want to grab something to drink - I am writing this especially for girls- this is a heaven-sent cake.

Now I am writing this for people who don't know what a mosaic cake is: The best thing about this cake is that you never need to bake it. Yes, you won't need an oven.

Ingredients:

  • 500gram of biscuits (Plain biscuits with no cream or jelly - it means only biscuits- all brands are fine. Also, they should be soft otherwise our cake will be very hard
  • Sugar, as much as you want
  • Milk, 1, 5 glass (you can arrange it according to biscuit)
  • Cacao, 4 tablespoon
  • Butter/margarine, 125 gram
  • If you want you can add walnuts or peanuts

If you want to add a little more 'cool' look:

  • Chocolate sauce - 1 packet

To prepare:

  • We put biscuits in a bowl and break them. They should be slightly larger than the thumb.
  • We mix milk, cocoa, melted butter/margarine, sugar all together and heat up the mixture.
  • We knead the biscuits and pour the mixture gradually.
  • If you have a bowl (pots: pots, cups - whatever you find - anything will do it, I will use a plate), you will have a hard time putting greasy paper/aluminum foil. Or you could do small balls with your hands. I leave it up to your creativity.
  • We wait for 5 minutes for water to boil and prepare our chocolate sauce.
  • Then we pour chocolate sauce on our pastry that we have shaped using our own creativity again.
  • Freeze it for 2-3 hours.
  • Take it out from the freezer 10-20 minutes before serving it. Our cake is ready!
