What is it like to live in Rennes? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Living in Rennes is really nice! This city isn't really big and I recommend it to everybody.
What is the student lifestyle like in Rennes?
The Student lifestyle isn't sped and pleasant.
How much does it cost to live in Rennes?
It depends but it's affordable... You can find a flat at 250 € but also 500 € per person. It depends on how many people live in the flat, where it is situated etc. Concerning food, parties, etc prices are the same as in other cities. Transports are very expensive but this is France's life.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Rennes? Is there any advice you can give?
Rennes a big student city so there is a lot of flats! But, it is important to begin searching in May-June (for September). You can find a lot of ads on this website "le Bon coin" and also there is a lot of flat near faculties (student residence).
What is the food like? What are your favorite dishes?
French food! I mean meat, pasta, potatoes, and a lot of bread! You can find all fast food and international cooking too. I like pizzas!
What places would you recommend visiting in Rennes?
All new students have to visit the "old town" and Tabhor's park!
Is it good to eat out in Rennes? Can you tell us your favorite spots?
There is a lot of good restaurants like "crêperies" (which is the specialty of Bretagne).
Is the nightlife good in Rennes? Where is good to go?
Rennes is called "big/better student's city" which means there is a lot of places where you can have parties. For example, the night club "Espace" and others else! Each night club has got its "specialty music".
What advice would you give future students heading to Rennes?
Have fun and enjoy your stay! Rennes is really a good city!
