Why did you choose to go to Rennes, France?

City full of students, good university and lot of parties.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

You will receive a scolarship when you rent a place to live, it pays almost half of rent so it's really helpful. I received just 150 €, so I need to use my own money. With 600 per month it is fine for everything.

What is the student lifestyle like in Rennes?

Awesome, tons of students in the streets and there is always something to do or somewhere to go.

Definitely yes.

Cheaper than expected and very good.

Rue de la Soif. L'espace club or one of the 120398 bars available are ok.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Rennes?

Mmm, I ate mainly kebabs and that kind of stuff... there are good street markets downtown that have delicious chicken.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Eeew... The Opera. There are many cultural expositions and fairs but I think they change each year, your university will let you know. As well there are many other cool places to visit outside Rennes like: St Malo, Normandie and maaaany forests and parks.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Rennes in the future?

Bring your car if you can. If you are going to stay for a short term the best option is a student residence. Don't be afraid to live not that close to downtown, the transport is great and there are bikes for rent 24/7.
