Why did you choose to go to Rennes, France?

Because it is a student city.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I got nothing from government. I am trying to live with my money.

What is the student lifestyle like in Rennes?

There are some nice bars where you can hangout but dont expect much things about clubs because they are not so nice. You can throw your own parties if you have a big house.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Rennes to other students?

It is up to you. If you like french people and french culture it is good. But there are so many Erasmus students every year that it should be ok. French system can sometimes be annoying and not every person will be nice to you.

Basically, they are good at making sweet things. I couldnt find much traditional french food.

If you are a party anima, love to hangout and drink it will be like 900 or 1000 euros

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

For me french is really hard so I couldnt learn much. Of course they do give french language courses probably at every university.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Rennes from your city?

Metro and bus.

Gatsby night club and lannexe bar.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Rennes?

Pizza da pietro and near republique there is a mexican restaurant you can eat burritos and some other things.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

There is a castle i dont remember the name. Saint malo and saint michel. Parc du thabor is also good place to visit.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Rennes in the future?

For me, living with french people and the french system in general was quiet hard. But if you dont mind them, then it wont be a problem for you. Actually it is up to how many good friends you have here.
