What is it like to live in Quito? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Well Quito is a really nice city with the best weather in the world ! always sunny around 24 to 28 degrees but it feels like 40 degrees sometimes because the sun is really strong. It's not a huge city so you can get through the city pretty easily.

How much does it cost to live in Quito?

the public transportation is $0.25 cents each ride, it increases the price if you want to go further out, but around Quito it's not more than that. Accommodation can go from 200 to 300 or more dollars depending on the place. Food at the super market is super cheap, fruits specially and they're really good !

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Quito? Is there any advice you can give?

It depends the are you're planning to live at, I do recommend you look for accommodation with time in advance and check if the surroundings are safe as well, be very careful with that.

It depends what you would like to eat but just head to Plaza Foch there are a lot of nice restaurants there with acceptable prices.

Is the nightlife good in Quito? Where is good to go?

There are a lot of clubs to choose from, you wont get bored! Plaza Foch is filled with cool restaurants, live music and tons of clubs !

What advice would you give future students heading to Quito?

You'll have a nice experience! here people are very curious about foreigners so they'll try to be your friends fast ! it is relatively cheap actually compared to Europe, I do recommend you to learn at least a basic to medium level of Spanish before you come here because it's hard to find people who speak english here.
