What is it like to live in Quito? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Quito is a really wonderful city, the culture and arquitecture are simply the best, I recomended at first go and visit, then you can judge and choice if it is a place for you, finally I think it could be like a Metropolis where are somethings very nice but always I recomend visit like a tourist before dicide to live in Quito

What is the student lifestyle like in Quito?

The student lifestyle is very cheap, also public transportation is not the best of course, I recommend keep an eye on your values, don't walk alone specially in dark sites

How much does it cost to live in Quito?

I think if you live with friends it depends on how much you have, if you don't have a lot is easy to live with 500 per month with accomodation, transport, food and a cheap lifestyle I mean go out one time per week, if you have more to spend is enought with 1000 per month

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Quito? Is there any advice you can give?

Well I think it is easy, the problem could be the money, a great place easily comes around 700 USD, if it is no affordable could search for flatmates or maybe a chaper place, the north center zone is more expensive than the south, but some one said to me it is more difficult to find a good place

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Well I really love Sushi fusion cuisine and I recommend try it, exist a lot of options, because typical food are really taste and can involve a lot of new experiences in your tongue, as well you can visit some public markets or plazas to try it, but if you are afraid try to visit a shopping mall, it could be great because of many choices you can found there

What places would you recommend visiting in Quito?

At first take a tour around the city center, then go to "teleferico" and of course if you want to enjoy a party could visit "La zona" it is a zone located in Juan Leon Mera street crossed by Foch street, but if you want some more expensive could visit cumbaya park, it is fine and confortable and many choices are waiting for you, also if you want more typical kind of entertainment you can visit Nayon Valley, there you find a good place to see town parties.

Is it good to eat out in Quito? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Well at first I recomend the expensive places, Maki sushi is the first they serve sushi rolls, other place is El Chacal, they serve beef and grilled steaks, and finally Ecuaviche serves seafood it is really delicius, for typical food I recomend Mercado Central, Mercado El Inca, Mercado La Magdalena, El Palacio del Menudo, and finally Los motes de la Biloxi for more tipycal food

Is the nightlife good in Quito? Where is good to go?

Well if you want to start the party could visit Chupitos, they serve cheap shoot, can continue with Bungalow bar, if you want a Karaoke I recomend La tocata, and finally Pa cortarse las venas, there are many places

What advice would you give future students heading to Quito?

Try to find a nice place near to the university, don't walk alone specially in dark sites, drink bottle water and try to use tube water slowly to don't get sick, finally, enjoy parties
