Why did you choose to go to Puebla in Mexico?
Because of the cultural diversity, the food, the low living costs and the beautiful weather.
How long was your stay? How much financial assistance did you receive?
I stayed from the 25th August 2017 to the 30th June 2018.
I received aid from CROUS and from the region in which I was living.
What is student life like in Peubla?
There are loads of young people and frequent parties.
Would you recommend Puebla and its university to others?
Yes.
What is the food like in Mexico?
Very rich and varied. There are many dishes to try (a lot of them are spicy). Most food is based on maize, tortillas, avocado, beans, onions and chilli.
Did you struggle to find accommodation in Puebla?
No.
What is the cost of living in Puebla?
Cheap.
How did you find learning the language? Were there language classes organised by the university?
No, I didn't need language classes.
What was the cheapest way to get to Puebla from your hometown?
Flying.
Where would you recommend to go partying in Puebla?
Cholula.
What about going out to eat? What are your favourite places?
The town centre, Cholula.

- Zocalo
- Cholula
- The forts
- San Francisco
- Libertad (a volcano)
- Popocatepelt (a volcano)
- The art quarter
- The pyramids of Cholula
What advice would you give to students going to Puebla in the future?
When you arrive here don't purposefully look for French communities or French people living in Puebla. Make Mexican friends in order to learn the language quickly, to integrate yourself, to learn about their culture and their customs...
