Why did you choose to go to Poznań, Poland?

The truth is that the first thing I looked at was whether it would be cheap to live there, as I could not afford a stay in the UK. Afterwards, researching a little more about the city, it seemed like a good idea to get to know a new culture and the truth is that it didn't disappoint me.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I was there for 6 months. The grant was €800 on arrival and €200 when I finished my Erasmus there and hand over some documents to the university.

Very good, it's all young people and students.

What is the food like?

Very rich, although it's quite hard to ge tused to it at the beginning because some tastes are quite strong and it is quite heavy in general.

No, it's easy to find accommodation if you want a residence, if you want an apartment it is a little more difficult.

You can live €400 well, including everything and not missing out on anything.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the university?

The language is difficult. My university offered free Polish courses. I went to a course for 6 hours a week, and apart from giving credits they gave me an official diploma of an A1 in Polish.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Poznań from your city?

From Porto. But it is more affordable to travel to Berlin and then there is a Polskibus from the aiport that will drop you off directly at the central Poznań station.
