What is it like to live in Poznan? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I definitely recommend Poznan. It's a perfect place to study! It's easy to move around in the city because of the public transport, and you can find in one place all the best places to spend time —in the city centre.

The accommodation is not so cheap. To rent a single room in good localization and good conditions you need to pay around 600 zl (around 140 €). The monthly ticket for public transport costs around 50 zl (12 € approximately), but it's better to buy a semestral ticket, what gives you 1 month for free. It's not hard to find a flat in general, but if you're looking for something close to tram station or in the city centre, you should start to search about 1-2 months before you want to rent a room! The most popular website with housing offers is Gumtree.pl.

Is it good to eat out in Poznan? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Manekin is the best place to eat pancakes. It's very cheap and delicious! But, be ready for long lines and waiting for a table.

Another place is Bar a Boo, also a cheap one, serving traditional Italian pizza. And finally, you definitely need to eat at Chatka Babuni and order typical Polish pierogi!

Is the nightlife good in Poznan? Where is good to go?

Poznan is perfect for nightlife. There are plenty of bars where you can drink a shot before a party, paying only 4 zl (around 0. 90 €)! Later you can go to one of many good clubs, for example SQ Club, Czekolada, LAB, Cuba Libre or even Pacha Poznan!
