Why did you choose to go to Poznan, Poland?

I would like to try something totally different from the Mediterranean culture. And also, the courses are in English and the life is really cheap.

What is the student lifestyle like in Poznan?

It's a city full of students. There are a lot of students erasmus and master too. Approximately the 25% of the population are students. For this reason, there is nightlife and lots of parties and events every day.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Poznan to other students?

Yeap, I totally recommend Poznan. People are friendly and kind, because they understand that students are positive for their place. The ESN team is really organised and you will never get bored. Also, there are connections for the whole Poland and Europe, so you can visit a lot of places!

What is the food like?

They have a lot of meat and salads. I like a lot the traditional dish Pierogi and the soup Zurek. There are places that you can eat with about 5 euros.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Poznan?

I searched a lot, because I wanted to find an apartment. Otherwise, there are dormitories (about 90 euros), that they are clean, cheap and full of Erasmus people.

How much does it cost to live in Poznan?

I think that 300-350 euros are pretty good. But, it depends of course on the accommodation that you will choose.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

The language is strange for me. The good thing is that there are polish courses (with really cool professors). So it is getting easier to learn some survival Polish.

By plane to Warsaw and then by train to Poznan. It depends on the season, sometimes its better to go first to Berlin and then take the bus with Polskibus to Poznan.

I love Cube libre, its a club with latin music.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Poznan?

Manekin for sure, and then try to find some Milk Bars (they are places with cheap and good food).
