Why did you choose to go to Poitiers, France?

I received a scholarship to complete my mastership in Poitiers.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

Mine was for a period of 22 months, an amount I do not wish to disclose.

What is the student lifestyle like in Poitiers?

The city is a student city, and is alive at night.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Poitiers to other students?

Yes, I would. I am at the IAE de Poitiers, and it is a great establishment.

What is the food like?

Typical french food - always a good thing.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Poitiers?

No.

How much does it cost to live in Poitiers?

It depends on your lifestyle. Poitiers is not Paris, so it is a lot cheaper.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes, I had a lot of French classes when I arrived.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Poitiers from your city?

Airplane to South Africa.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Poitiers?

A nice bar next to Notre Dame.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Poitiers?

Bistrot de Boucher.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

All of the churches.

Join the international groups on Facebook to make friends, and integrate with the French students.
