What's Paris like to live in? Would you recommend living here? What's it like?

I'd definitely recommend living here, it's amazing, it's bustling, the only issue is that it's so expensive.

What's student life like?

The best! There are loads of Erasmus societies that help out new students.

What's the cost of living like in Paris?

Extortionate. When you live in the center, you'll easily spend 650€ for a 215sq ft apartment. As for food, it depends on what you eat but you can choose to eat for less.

How hard is it to find accommodation in Paris? What advice do you have?

It's not too difficult, but it's expensive.

My advice would be to not live in central Paris but in the suburbs surrounding it which have great transport links with both the metro and the train.

What's the food like in Paris? What are some of your favourite dishes?

France is known to be one of the best cuisines in the world.

You can eat so much good food. I'd say my favourite dish is raclette.

What are some of your favorite places to visit in Paris?

The Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Champs Elysées, the Marais, The Sewers Museum, Grévin Museum...

And where is best to eat in Paris? Where are some of your favourite restaurants?

There are so many restaurants that do great burgers (Restaurant PNY or Big Fernand), and there are some good and cheap restaurants in the Marais, and even on the Champs Elysées which are great but obviously expensive.

Where are some of the best places to go out in Paris?

There are loads of great nightclubs, rue de Lappe in Bastille is full of bars where you're guaranteed to have a great evening.

What advice would you give to future Erasmus students coming to Paris?

Make sure you budget well if you want to make the most of your experience, but it's one of the best cities, you'll never be bored.
