What is it like to live in Paris? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

To live in Paris is such a great opportunity. I've been living in Paris for more than 5 years. And all I can say it's great and at the same time, a challenging experience.

What is the student lifestyle like in Paris?

When you are in Paris you have to keep your goal always in front of you. Focus. If you are here to study, then study. Because there are so much stuff to do in Paris that you might lose your focus then days pass by so quickly. You'll regret later. Student lifestyle in Paris is not bad, it's only bad for those who are working at the same time studying. I was a working student, and it was really tough. Coz I also need to make sure I get my rents paid in time without spending all my tuition fee for other expenses. Tough!

How much does it cost to live in Paris?

It is very expensive to live in Paris. If you are not hard working you're gonna need rich parents to be able to survive.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Paris? Is there any advice you can give?

There are a lot of agencies who can help you find the right accommodation if you are willing to pay their price. If not, try checking out PAP.fr (direct to landlords) or Leboncoin.fr. Apartment are very expensive in Paris, plus they are very tiny. So if you don'twant to live in a tiny expensive place, prepare yourself to live with crazy, weirdos room mates.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food is great! you can anything in Paris, from french, italien, korean, japanese, indian, etc. If you wanna go french, try "Chez Papa", it's one of my favorite.

What places would you recommend visiting in Paris?

Visit as much as you can! Montmarte, Louvre, Notre Dame, Place Saint Michel to Chatelet, Rue Saint Honoré, etc... And oh, don't forget to go inside Opera in metro Opera.

Is it good to eat out in Paris? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

It is good to eat out in Paris but it could be expensive sometimes. When you eat out, if the weather is good, terrace is always a good choice. If you don't have enough money, you can always pack your sandwich and have picnic with your friends by Champs de Mars, Parc Invalids or Tuileries... I love to go to Tuilieries and have lunch picnic with friends.

Is the nightlife good in Paris? Where is good to go?

I'm not really a party animal but if I like the area around Grands Boulevard and La Bellevilloise Discotheque. I'm sure there are other great clubs out there.

What advice would you give future students heading to Paris?

Stay alert, focus, and don't forget to have fun and profit everything Parisian! ^^
