What is it like to live in Paris? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

If you like cultural things like museums and theaters, then yes, I would recommend it. But if you like green cities and chill pubs maybe it is not the best in Europe.

It's expensive. You have to know people around to be aware of the best places.

How much does it cost to live in Paris?

In the city it's around 3000€ per month, outside it's probably around 2000€.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Paris? Is there any advice you can give?

Yes, it's hard because of all assurances you have to give to the owner.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food is the best thing. In Paris you can find everything, from cheap and good french food to Japanese, through all American food.

What places would you recommend visiting in Paris?

Montmartre (Sacré coeur). Such a great and chill part, full of little shops and cafés.

Is it good to eat out in Paris? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes, it's good but always the same thing: most of the times, it is not cheap. If you want to try good french food really cheap I would recommend Bouillon Chartier, in the 2nd arrondissement.

Is the nightlife good in Paris? Where is good to go?

I'm not a fan of night clubs in Paris, but there are lots and lots of ephemera events, from bars to festivals. Watch out on Facebook before. They never take place in the same night. There are lots of bars in the center.

What advice would you give future students heading to Paris?

Get a shared apartment. You will need help to socialize and party in the flat. Be careful of the cultural shock, it may be violent. (It was for me).
