What is it like to live in Paris? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Live in Paris is a good experience for all your life. If you can survive here, then, you can anywhere else in the world :)

What is the student lifestyle like in Paris?

Generally, you have to care about all, even if you are erasmus student (documents, , find your accomodation). It's not like a small university campus. However, as a student, you have so many facilities such as cheap prices, really big libraries where you can study, many paties, cheap food (university restaurant for 3e), cheap tickets for theater, concerts and others. The cultural and social life in Paris is great for students...

How much does it cost to live in Paris?

Between 700-1000e at least, depending of your accomodation.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Paris? Is there any advice you can give?

It's quite complicated to find a good accomodation in Paris. I would say that this is the most complicated thing in Paris. It is expensive and small. If I can give you an advice, is to go to a close suburb where the prices are lower and it is still close to get to the city.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

I love french food, this is the best thing in this country. Whatever you eat, you have still impression that you eat very healthy :) and also, there are restaurants that make free dishes. It means, you pay a drink and you eat for free. I love Paris for this. My favorite dishes are all those with cheese such as "raclette" or "fondue".

What places would you recommend visiting in Paris?

I recommend to visit all big monumets such as Notre-Dame, Sacré Coeur, Louvre and others. You should know that if you come from EU and you are less 25 years old, almost all monuments are free for you. Those that are not free are accessible for free the first sunday of each month. Also, I recommend you to visit "The shakespeare company", it's a kind of bookstore where you can read all day, listen people playing piano and enjoy the "middle age" atmosphere. Also you should know these websites : billetreduc.com if you want to go to theater or see a concert and "bons plans à paris" where you have many events for every day.

Is the nightlife good in Paris? Where is good to go?

It depends where you go and what you like. You have all kinds of bars you can imagine. If you like to dance, the best options are looking for erasmus party, generally during week. Otherwise, during week end, the entry is 20e, quite expensive. Also, if you go to night clubs, you have to be very well dressed! But, it's always crowded. From another hand, there are many house parties what is a good option to save money and spend a good night :)
