What is it like to live in Paris? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

The city is vibrant with something new around every corner. The transport system is great, so make the most of t. Buy a pass, and you're ready to go. It definitely teaches you to manage your money because it's definitely not cheap. But it's definitely worth it, it's a whole new experience out of your comfort one.

What is the student lifestyle like in Paris?

If you're a student, make sure you get you student ID, and carry it wherever you go. You're bound to get great reductions on tickets. Every first sunday of the month brings free visits to museums, so make the most of that. There's always something happening somewhere in the city, so find what you love and go for it. It's not possible to cover everything, so figure out what interests you and experience that. And be prepared to walk. A lot!

How much does it cost to live in Paris?

Living in Paris can cost anywhere from 250 Euros to 1000 Euros, depends on the area and the type of apartment you're looking for. The suburbs are pretty great too, and transport is not a problem at all. With a great network of metro and buses and velib, transport is excellent in Paris.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Paris? Is there any advice you can give?

Accommodation is a pain. The French landlords take a lot of time to revert, so make sure that you start looking for a place way in advance to get the best deals.

Is it good to eat out in Paris? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

There are tons of student friendly cafes and pubs. My personal favorite is Belushi's. Friday nights are very happening, they have live music. The beer is great, the food is very filling and the cheesecake is pretty darn good. Not to mention the cute and fun bartenders.

What advice would you give future students heading to Paris?

It can be slightly overwhelming, because you're in Paris, but you get used to it in some time. Try to make a local friend who can help you figure out all sorts of tricks of travelling in Paris. And contact your institution to great deals with every cultural experience.
