What is it like to live in Paris? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

There is always somewhere to go, movies (all day) to see, restaurant to try, or to just chill out in parks such as the Luxembourg. And it's easy to easy to just walk around. You meet people from around the world, even if you think that nobody speak english it's wrong, you just have to try and speak French first. We love accents so it better if you at least try. It gives a freat first impression and people will want to speak to you!

What is the student lifestyle like in Paris?

It's great, you have a lot of library everywhere, and the museums are just amazing, there are always "happy hour" which means that it is cheaper to go and eat and you always meet other students. There are people from around the globe so you learn a lot about cultre and all.

How much does it cost to live in Paris?

The housing is really expensive, the transportation not that much with the studient fare. There is always some place cheap to eat or drink you just need to check "happy hours" and specials. Drinking stay something expensive out of the happy hours.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Paris? Is there any advice you can give?

The best is to look in the 18e arrondissement, it is full of student or newly married couple, it's cheaper and if you find a roomate to share it's even better. This part of Paris is great, it's near Montmartre and le Sacré Coeur. But it is still expensive when you don't have financial help. I paid 500€ / month for a 34m² appartment that I shared with a friend. When you add internet, phone and all it is rather expensive.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The bread! You can just eat croissant and bread everywhere. I live abroad and that what I miss the most. My favourite is the "Confit de canard" you can find it in every good brasserie. It's a classic. And for dessert I love Crème brûlée. It is also easy to find!

What places would you recommend visiting in Paris?

The border of the Seine, The museums, Luxembourg gardens basically you need to walk around and just open your eyes!

Is it good to eat out in Paris? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Never go to a place full of tourists, it is not a good sign because it means that the locals don't eat there and that the food might be expensive and not good. Small places are always best. Try restaurants in the rue Mouffetard, its cheap and good, it is in the student aria so it is always a place full of life

Of course, there are clubs or pubs. And some pubs become clubs at night such as "Café Oz" an Australian pub in Châtelet. There are every ambience you want and to watch sport it is always good.
