What is it like to live in Paris? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I love Paris so much. Especially for me as a fashion student, this is the place to be. There is always some cultural event going on, it's never boring. Also a date is automatically a good date, because you're in Paris hehe.

What is the student lifestyle like in Paris?

I think this is the city to be for students. It's true, it's one of the most expensive cities in the world but, students can get amazing offers here like cheaper transport, free access to all museums and other activities like that.

How much does it cost to live in Paris?

If you're not careful then you will spend a lot! Personally, I am quite conscious about my finances and excluding the rent and utilities (so only counting food, leisure, clothing and such) I can manage with 500€ per month.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Paris? Is there any advice you can give?

It can be quite difficult especially if you have a low budget but, it is definitely not impossible. You just need patience and a friend that speaks french can be a great help. Just keep in mind that you shouldn't set very high standards. Those beautiful old parisian buildings are exactly like that inside: old.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food is incredible. Everything is so full of taste and fresh.

What places would you recommend visiting in Paris?

Le Marais is a very lively district and full of Thrift shops! Also that is where you will find the best falafels in the city.

Montmartre will make you feel like the luckiest person on earth to be in Paris, the city of lights.

St.Germain is one of my favorite areas to just walk around and get lost in all the beauty.

Is it good to eat out in Paris? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

It's very good because the french are very good in the kitchen but, it's expensive. Personally, I cook everyday for myself and I manage to only spend 100 per month on food. A salad in a restaurant can cost around 15€.

Is the nightlife good in Paris? Where is good to go?

For the nightlife I would recommend Le Marais again because of the liveliness. You can't go wrong with anything around Bastille and of course, in the 1st district (if you don't mind all the tourists).

What advice would you give future students heading to Paris?

Enjoy every single bit of it. This is the most beautiful city in the world!
