What is it like to live in Paris? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

To live in Paris is like living in a museum, some permanent collections : the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Montmartre; plus some temporary ones : summer parties and pique-niques in Parisian parcs, iceskating in the Grand Palais during Christmas break, and so on. A very lively city, everyone should experience it for a few days or months!

What is the student lifestyle like in Paris?

Student life is pretty tough considering the rents and cost of living in general. But a lot of bars, parties designed especially for students : le Globo, bars at Grands Boulevards....

How much does it cost to live in Paris?

Expensive ! Cheaper than London, New-York, Copenhagen; but more expensive than Madrid, Lisboa,... Somewhere between Amsterdam and Berlin I would say

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Paris? Is there any advice you can give?

The housing market is very busy, few offers for a juge demand. Always bring as much documents as you can to justificate that you have backups to pay your rent : parents salaries, income taxes....

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food is amazing of course ! Try everything and always check on Yelp/Trip Advisor not to go to 'tourists trap'

What places would you recommend visiting in Paris?

Museums, parcs... just wander in the streets to have a look at the buildings, cafes, metro station etc.

Is it good to eat out in Paris? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

A lot of very good places to have lunch or dinner : Le Dépanneur, La Brasserie italienne, Les grands voisins....

Is the nightlife good in Paris? Where is good to go?

YES, but expensive.... For house music the choice is pretty large : the famous REX Club, FAUST, Garage, YOYO, have a look at their Facebook pages !

What advice would you give future students heading to Paris?

Enjoy it as much as you can, especially is the sun is out go directly to the Seine for a drink/pique-nique with your friends. The atmosphere is great, and summer in Paris is just amazing! Bests
