Why did you choose to go to Paris, France?

I chose Paris because I felt that I could live in no other Francophone city, because no other city could hold a candle to Paris. I loved the idea of living in multicultural environment which deep historical roots, in a way the city was a reflection of my own self, so I couldn’t forsake the opportunity of not living there.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I lived in Paris for only four months (September- December). I receive little to no help.

What is the student lifestyle like in Paris?

I would not know as I was working in Paris.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Paris to other students?

I strongly recommen Paris to all Language students, I have no clue what the Universities are like but I imagine prestigious.

What is the food like?

Paris prides itself with having a range of cuisines. You can find international cuisine in every arrondissement, and there will be at least one bakery for every street.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Paris?

No, I used the site Roomlala.

How much does it cost to live in Paris?

Paris is experience. Rent is anywhere between €500-€1000 pcm but it’s worth it.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

I feel like my French has improved. I know more colloquial language now, and I understand grammar better, and I know how a french accent should sound like.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Paris from your city?

Find accommodation on the outskirts of Paris, and shop at Lidl.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Paris?

At home because it will be cheaper.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Paris?

Paris is too expensive to eat out.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

The main tourist attractions in Paris.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Paris in the future?

Get a Caxton Card and a Navigo once you’re in Paris
