Why did you choose to go to Paris, France?

Job opportunity and I thought it would be a nice experience to live in Paris. It turns out to be really nice!

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I don't have a scholarship, I receive remuneration from my internship company. Which is approximatly 980 Euros.

What is the student lifestyle like in Paris?

Very chilled, you don't have to be bored at all. It is nice to go outside for a walk and have some amazing views over Paris or to just walk through Paris.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Paris to other students?

The city yes, I can't recommend any universities as I am not studying at one at the moment.

What is the food like?

It depends where you go. Kebab is, based on my experiences so far, not great. But where I live (19ème) the supermarkets have good food and a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables for a good price!

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Paris?

No, I found it on the Internet.

How much does it cost to live in Paris?

The rent is 550, plus about 500 living expenses every month.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

I started learning French at a young age, so the language isn't a problem for me at all.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Paris from your city?

Bla Bla Car is a nice an cheap way of getting in Paris

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Paris?

I am not someone that goes out a lot, so I don't know any clubs.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Paris?

I am not able to give any names of restaurants, but don't go in the tourist part of Paris. Way to expensive! Have a look in the small street of Paris and find a small Bistro for example.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

I'm not into culture, so no clue!

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Paris in the future?

Enjoy Paris, it is probably not a place you will be living the rest of your life. Go outside, visit as many places in Paris as you can and make memories!
