Why did you choose to go to Paris, France?
I personally believe that France, Paris in recent period has quite much developed in the field of Marketing and Communication and as I came here to to pursue my Masters in this subject so I chose none other place but France.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
My school is a Business School so it did not provide me any scholarship.
What is the student lifestyle like in Paris?
The student lifestyle is an international mix and so I am quite enjoying it. One can find different kinds of people interacting with each other, sharing ideas and cultures and also embracing them with open arms.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Paris to other students?
Yes I would definitely like to recommend this city to other students.
What is the food like?
French food is quite an interesting cuisine to taste in case if you haven't experienced it. And side by this one can also find Indian , Mexican, Lebanese,Japanese and Chinese food joints.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Paris?
I had few relatives and friends who helped me to get an accommodation.
How much does it cost to live in Paris?
800 Euros is enough to sustain your livelihood to stay in Paris. But still it depends on a person's lifestyle.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
Learning French is time consuming but if you attend the classes regularly and follow the sessions sincerely then you are done with the most important thing in order to survive in France.
Yes there are language courses available at the university or in any Business School.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Paris from your city?
Since I live in Paris so the easiest way to travel is by metro.
Transportation is quite easily accessible and well-connected with one place to another in Paris.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Paris?
Café Charbon,
Au Chat Noir,
L'Alimentation Generale
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Paris?
Le Bouillon Chartier, Le Relais de Venise, Bistrot de l'Oulette, Astrance, Le Florimond.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
Louvre museum, Centre Pompidou, The Eiffel Tower, Cité des Sciences, Notre-Dame's rooftop, Champs-Elysees, La Conciergerie and Sainte-Chapelle, Arc de Triomphe, Montmartre, Musée Gustave Moreau.
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Paris in the future?
The major problem that I have faced initially after coming to France was the language problem. It was and still is a barrier for me. So the only recommendation that I would like to recommend is that before coming to France one should have a good level of French knowledge to interact with people.
