Why did you choose to go to Paris, France?

The company where I did my internship is located here.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

4 months. I don't remember how much the money was, but with 860e/month rent it wasn't enough :D

What is the student lifestyle like in Paris?

I don't actually know, I lived here the "working life"

Would you recommend the city and the University of Paris to other students?

About the university I have no idea, but Paris is nice for a few months, but for a longer time no.

What is the food like?

Food is gooooood. You know, the French gastronomy has it's reputation.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Paris?

Yes. Only the agency fee was 150e.

How much does it cost to live in Paris?

My rent is 860e/month, for 10 square meters without natural light in the 5th district. But I have my own toilet and shower.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes, when you know English, you'll know French. I have never studies French, but still manage the everyday life here in French.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Paris from your city?

Airplane, because I come from Finland.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Paris?

Chatelet has all the clubs and bars, but when they close, the Irish Pub (Galway) at Sant Michel is open until 5am.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Paris?

Any.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

It's Paris, everything.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Paris in the future?

Don't take any pressure about having to go to all the museums etc. Do what you want, not what you might be "obligated" to do while in Paris!
