Why did you choose to go to Paris, France?

I was accepted as an intern at Unesco and the headquarters of the organization are in Paris.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

The internship lasted 4 months. I was paid by the erasmus plus program 600€/month for the first 3 months. I didn't receive remuneration from Unesco.

What is the student lifestyle like in Paris?

I had many choices for lifestyle, exhibitions, nightlife and socialisation. the only problem is the high cost of the everyday life.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Paris to other students?

I would definitely recommend Paris to other students. It offers an experience 100% worth it :)

What is the food like?

Not that great in majority. If you don't have a good daily budget you will probably have a hard time eating something healthy and tasty.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Paris?

Yes. Accommodation is a big issue in Paris. Dorms are the cheapest choice.

How much does it cost to live in Paris?

In a dorm it may cost 430-600€/month. In a studio it may cost 700-900€. In a shared flat it may cost 600€.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

The language is easy to learn with a lot of exercise.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Paris from your city?

By plane.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Paris?

Buddha bar or le Percoir Marais.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Paris?

Chez Gladines.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Musee d'orsay, Luxembourg gardens, orangerie.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Paris in the future?

Keep your eyes open, there are numerous amazing places to visit! And prefer dorms, it's the best way to socialise.
