Would you recommend the city and the University of Paris to other students?
I recommend it hugely as although Paris is a bit expensive, the landmarks, food and people there are amazing.
How's the country's food?
Not great in my opinion. Spain is far better as far as food goes but I do recommend the Nutella crepes over everything else.

Was it hard to find accommodation in Paris?
In truth, yes, I had a problem with accommodation that resulted in me having to arrive here in September. I found an apartment in a student residence but with the help of several people. Accommodation in Paris is quite expensive and at this time of the year and very difficult to find, so I recommend looking before arriving but never send any money without having received a contract first.
How much does it cost to live in Paris?
It's very expensive, the average price to rent a room in a shared flat is upwards of about 450 euros a month and food can cost about 150 euros a month. In total you can end up spending up to 650 euros a month including rent, food and transport.

How's the language? Did you do a language course at University?
My degree was in French Philology and I've been doing French since the start so as a result I came with a good grasp of the language. It's a complicated language, mainly for the pronunciation and when it comes to hearing French people speak, but if you have the basics down you will get used to it in a short amount of time.
What's the cheapest way of getting to Paris from your city?
By plane, without a doubt. Although, it is expensive if you don't buy your tickets in advance you can end up spending up to 150 euros.
What places would you recommend for a night out in Paris?
I don't usually go for nights out.
What about eating out in Paris? Can you tell us your favourite places?
The Latin quarter without a doubt. There's a large variety of restaurants and food, plus it's probably Paris's cheapest neighbourhood- I recommend a crepe place where you can get a crepe for 2. 25 euros, the cheapest in the whole of Paris.

What about for a cultural visit?
It's an incredible city. I've been here three months and I still have a thousand things to do, plus, everything I've seen so far is beautiful and magical.
Do you have any advice for students coming to Paris?
Have fun, learn, make friends with those in your faculty, don't be embarrassed to do so. Getting to know people from different countries and cultures whilst you're here makes for an incredible experience.
