Experience in Pardubice, Czech Republic by Daniela
What is it like to live in Pardubice? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
The city is not so big, nor so small, but it has a nice castle and, in general, is is a nice place. Besides, there are a lot of students, so we can say it is a student town, since there are exhibitions, different opportunities to have fun and pubs for students.
What is the student lifestyle like in Pardubice?
I think it's very good: there is a lot of students and even a pub that organises special nights for students.
How much does it cost to live in Pardubice?
There is the possibility of staying in a dorm, since it is not so expensive.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Pardubice? Is there any advice you can give?
You can stay at a college. If you want to rent a flat, this could be difficult unless you speak Czech. However, if you know someone who does, you can try it.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
I think that Czech commercial food is not very good, but you can have better food in small and special shops. Besides, many people cook for themselves a lot. By the way, I don't know how tasty the food is at the canteen, since I haven't been there.

I recommend the castle, the student pub and the marvellous town square.
