How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
I was doing my internship for 6 months, so was having 500 Eur monthly. It was enough for me to cover basic needs as food and shelter.
What is the student lifestyle like in Palma de Mallorca?
It depends what you are looking for:
- nature (many beautiful beaches, transparent sea, wonderful views, mountains & hills);
- sport and healthy life style;
- social life (food, bars, parties).
I managed to conect everything, but at the same time I was more focused on things that are more important to me.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Palma de Mallorca to other students?
City - for sure!
About university - I have no clue. I came here for the internship (was already graduated at that time), but didn't hear anything bad about UIB.
What is the food like?
Spanish food is super tasty, everyone enjoy it!
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Palma de Mallorca?
You can look for rents at specific webpages for free.
Just a valuable advice - in summer season everything is quite crowded here, so it is better to start looking for accomodiation in advance.
How much does it cost to live in Palma de Mallorca?
You can live with 500 Eur/month, but you have to count your money.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
I think so.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Palma de Mallorca from your city?
By plane.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Palma de Mallorca?
Paseo Marítimo.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Palma de Mallorca?
For students, Los 100 Montaditos is quite cheap and an acceptable place.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
It is worth to rent a car and go to explore whole island, many places are beautiful and leave a great impression.
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Palma de Mallorca in the future?
Do not stress or overthink too much for anything, everything will be wonderful!
