I've studied en Padova for 4 years... so it's a nice city, you can find lots funny opportunity to go out, there are many cafeterias for students in the historical center and people are friendly. The transportation sistem is good enough, but you can use your bike without any problems. If you like studing there are libraries all the corners!
You have to visit around Basilica di Sant'Antonio e Santa Giustina, Prato della Valle masterpiece for pictures! If you need something about, I speak English and Spanish.
