What is it like to live in Padua? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I live near Padova but I'm there everyday as I study in unipd. Padova is the best choice as it's not too big and you don't get confused/lost everytime, but at the same time its also not too little, so that you don't get bored. You will find for sure your place in padua:indeed, there are people of all kind. Whether you like to go to sophisticated places, or simply pubs, cultural events ecc.. You surely find someone to do everything you want with.
We are generally very willing to help :)

What is the student lifestyle like in Padua?

It's fine, you'll find many student movements and associations that organize interesting events and that can offer you the best possibilities from this point of view, for example they supervise rooms where you can study until late at night with all the comforts (you can even make yourself some tea/coffee if you like ;))

How much does it cost to live in Padua?

It depends on what you're used to in your country. I wouldn't say padua is expensive, and in any case you will find cheap alternatives to everything. Of course, if you go have breakfast at Caffè Pedrocchi, don't complain afterwards ;) you usually see from the outside if a place is that exclusive or not :)

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Padua? Is there any advice you can give?

I suggest to stay in a hostel for the first days and go see some rooms in person. I suggest you to try and see what Facebook groups like "cerco offro stanze padova" can offer :)

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Safe to say, italian food it is what it is. I suggest you to try between one lesson and the other the best sandwich in town from La Zita and the cheaper version from I Sumiti.
You'll also find food from many other cultures, i suggest Motoi for the sushi. :)

What places would you recommend visiting in Padua?

Prato della valle, I navigli during the summer, Pedro, piazza dei signori, la specola

Is the nightlife good in Padua? Where is good to go?

Pedro, Navigli during the summer, Factory.. I usually don't go to clubs, I prefer a nice "shot tour" between all the bars in the city center ;)

What advice would you give future students heading to Padua?

Come and have fun! Don't be scared, we are friendly and interested in getting to know someone who's from another country! Share your story, we'll be happy to be part of it :)
Buon divertimento :)
