What's life like in Padua? Would you recommend it?

Life in Padua is very student based. You can really enjoy yourself even though things are getting worse as there are laws that force nearly all the bars to close early in the evenings. There are still young people in every square and it's nice and easy to always meet new people and get around the town. The climate is very humid.

What's the student atmosphere like in Padua?

Students are everywhere and there is an open and moving environment, especially in the summer. The libraries and classrooms are never lacking students.

How much does it cost to live in Padua?

To find a place to live can cost you between 200-400 euros depending on the room and area you're looking at. The bars aren't cheap but they cost less than the big city bars.

Is it difficult to find somewhere to live in Padua? Can you offer any advice?

It's easy, you can find places on Facebook, the Internet, or more simply by looking at the thousands of posters taped outside all the different faculties.

What's the food like? What are some of your favourite dishes?

You can eat well like in all of Italy, there's pasta restaurants and pizzerias on every corner. The canteen isn't expensive and you can get a full meal.

In your opinion, what are the best places to visit in Padua?

The centre is beautiful, the Scrovegni chapel, the observatory, and if you go out of Padua, there are lots of little towns.

When it comes to eating out in Padua, can you talk about some of your favourite places?

In Piazza dei Signori, there's a little shack that makes fried panzerotti.

Where would you recommend going out in Padua?

The squares in the summer are always full of people, Prato della Valle or Piazza dei Signori for those who like to drink to the sound of a guitar.

Any advice you'd give to future students in Padua?

Enjoy yourself and bring a warm jacket.
