Expérience dans Padoue, Italie par Mila
What is it like to live in Padua? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
It's a nice place to stay, with many things to do.
What is the student lifestyle like in Padua?
Very colorful!
How much does it cost to live in Padua?
Average. If you know the city you will be able to find budget supermarket to arrange you shopping.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Padua? Is there any advice you can give?
Well, it's not easy. Landlords usually want to rent very small room for high price and then charge you for everything. Most of the time they do not want to do a contract, which will put you at their mercy. Avoid to rent a room in the area around the station (Arcella), I don't even trust to walk around there in the evening. Sometimes students themselves subrent their room, any contract of guarentee as well.
What places would you recommend visiting in Padua?
The botanic garden (orto botanico), the Santo (church) and Prato della Valle (nice square). All the city center is beautiful, go for a stroll on saturday afternoon along via Roma, then visit Piazza delle Erbe e Piazza della Frutta with the open and the indoor market, and the zodiac clock on the tower in piazza dei signori.
Is the nightlife good in Padua? Where is good to go?
around the city center is full of nice pub where to hang out and have a "spritz" with some friends.
