Why did you choose to go to Padua, Italy?
I really wanted to discover the North of Italy and learn italian.
What is the student lifestyle like in Padua?
Students are everywhere, so it is really easy to meet new friends. In the center, bars are everywhere and when the good days show up, it's even better...
Would you recommend the city and the University of Padua to other students?
Totally. I really fell in love with the city and the italian lifestyle.
What is the food like?
A-MA-ZING
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Padua?
I found my accommodation on a facebook group, 1 or 2 months before my departure and it was quite easy.
How much does it cost to live in Padua?
At first sight, eating and drinking is not a big deal. But I was likely to eat more, and drink more... So it was finally quite expensive.
But if you are reasonable, you can easily save your money.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
As I am french, it has been more or less easy to learn italian. I've never learnt this lannguage before and after 2 months, I was able to understand and speak short but clear sentences.
You will have the possibility to attend italian classes from A1 to B2 level, for free with the University of Padova
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Padua from your city?
By plane.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Padua?
In the center, close to Piazza dei signori : la Yarda.
Circolo Nadir also, is a great place where you can have fun if you like jazz music.
Fish Market and Factory for sure, if you want a club to party.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Padua?
I Panzerotti of Padova are sooooo good, next to Piazza dei signori and you can eat so well for 2 euros.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
Museo dell'Osservatorio Astronomico di Padova.
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Padua in the future?
ENJOY, have fun and live your life the way you want.
