Why did you choose to go to Padua, Italy?

Because it has a very good faculty of medicine. It also has a great position with regards to Milan, Venice, Verona, Florence etc...It s a very historical, beautiful city and a student life is very vibrant!!! :)

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I spent six month in Padova eight years ago though!!!! The scholarship was very little, I think about 250 Euro a month!!! :( I worked few hours a week in a café which helped and was a great fun and practice of Italian!!! ;)

What is the student lifestyle like in Padua?

It is a great fun!

Would you recommend the city and the University of Padua to other students?

Absolutely:)

What is the food like?

Oh com'on, a silly question if you to Italy! I gained a lot of weight haha!!

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Padua?

I lived in a student accommodation. It was ok. Not too pricey and a great opportunity to get to know people.

How much does it cost to live in Padua?

Well, I lived there eight years ago....Italy is not a cheap place though:(

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

I found it a little shocky that a faculty of medicine didn't provide any teaching in English as I didn't know a single word in Italian when I arrived! Living with four chatty Italian girls helped though and yes there was a course as well! I was fluent after six months! :)

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Padua from your city?

A bike! Definitely!

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Padua?

Banale used to be a student club...lots of private parties going on as well...every Wednesday students used to gather in the main square for spritz and there was always something going on afterwards! ;)

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Padua?

You can't get wrong almost anywhere ;)

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Prato della Valle-bring the roller blades! ;) Cathedral of San Antonio.... All the city is beautiful and surroundings even more picturesque! Beach and various lakes an hour away only! ;)

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Padua in the future?

Enjoy every minute, it was an amazing experience, I am still feeling nostalgic about it like I suppose everyone after Erasmus! I envy you guys !!!! :))))
