What is it like to live in Ottawa? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Fun. Lots to do at night. Lots to do in winter and summer. Have to put effort in to find some events but always something going on. Kind of expensive but nothing crazy.

What is the student lifestyle like in Ottawa?

Fun. Can go to Quebec for a night if you’re 18 and not legal to drink yet in Ontario. Lots of students around but still feels like the capital.

How much does it cost to live in Ottawa?

About 900 a month

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Ottawa? Is there any advice you can give?

Check Facebook pages for “uottawa housing” or even Carleton and Algonquin housing. Also check kijiji for the sandy hill area (student area of town)

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Poutine.

What places would you recommend visiting in Ottawa?

Parliament. Spark street. Elgin street. Bank street. Byward market (night for clubs and pubs and day for restaurants and shops)
