Where dreams come true... Disney World

When I was a little girl I was always jealous of friends who went with their parents to Disneyland in Paris. Then after High School I moved to Orlando for a year and Disney World, the bigger and better version of Disneyland was pretty much in my backyard. And I learned that even as a grown up Disney can make you feel like this little kid again in a world, where dreams do come true!

Disney World is a huge resort that is split into four different theme parks. It is pretty much like an own city and you need trains and buses to get to all the different places. What is definitely a minus are the high costs just to get into the park, it can cost just as much as 100$ just for one park. (I was always lucky to know people working there to get me in for free otherwise I would probably have been broke through Disney visits after my year in Orlando! )

First of all there is the Magic Kingdom, this is the classic Disney Park with the famous big Princess castle. It is super cute and walking through the streets and meeting princesses, princes, Minnie and Mickey and other cartoon characters will throw you back into your childhood for sure! Of course this is a place for kids, so most of the rides are not too thrilling. Something for everybody is although the big firework that they have every night around the big castle.

The second park is called Epcot and my personal favourite of Disney World. It is a park where they present different cultures and countries through famous buildings and offer typical food, drinks and entertainment from those countries. Definitely a fun place to go for international students like us! Also the best attraction ever, called "Soaring", is in this part of the park. It simulates a flight over California and feels so absolutely real that you feel like actually soaring over beautiful places. My favourite, and even if the line is always super long it is totally worth it. In the night before closing of the park they also have a great show over the lake in Epcot. It is a laser, fountain and firework show with boats, music and a huge globe in the water that shows images from all over the world over LED screens- really beautiful!

Disney's Hollywood Studios has a lot of attractions and shows concerning television and movies. Some fun rides, but nothing too exciting. The last one is Disney's Animal Kingdom which is pretty much like a zoo with some rides.

As you can assume I enjoyed Magic Kingdom and Epcot the most and if you have to choose I would take one of those! Of course all of the parks have this special atmosphere, all these little kids having their dreams come true and girls running around in princess costumes. It is definitely like its only little world and a happy place for young and old.
