A month in Nottingham
Nottingham is a very beautiful and interesting city. Not only because it has a load of museums but you can visit the different enclaves of the stories of Robin Hood, as well as places that were a part of Lord Byron's life. During the month that I was there (July) it was very hot, it didn't rain at all and I could wear shorts, although I think that is not that normal. Despite the fact that I was younger when I was there, I can say that there was a lot of parties there. On Wednesdays we went to a school pavilion where we studied the international parties that they celebrate there (near to Sherwood Forest) and during the weekends we went to a pub where a Serbian boy had organised parties for foreign students. There were many pubs and bars.
The city has two massive shopping centres with shops like H&M, Zara and other typical UK shops like Marks and Spencers. The centre was full of shops.
The food is not that great in all of the United Kingdom as there is an abundance of fasts food restaurants everywhere you go.
England is an expensive country and a city like Nottingham is even more so. The prices in sterling pounds to the euro confused me a lot, as they are actually equal to the Euro but are actually more expensive.
The public transport is really good. There is a big network of buses which go past every 15 minutes and connect you to the whole city. Also, the centre has a modern tram.
As an observation, I would like to say that Nottingham is a city where a lot of crimes are committed in England, although statistics show that it is one of the worst cities for crime in England, you do not need to worry much. I can say that from my own experience everything was very good and I urge you to go!
