How much money did you get from the Erasmus grant?

In total, I received €1400 per semester.

What is the student vibe like in Nottingham?

It is brilliant! There are 2 universities, the city itself is not very big, but it is practically full of students! Plenty of opportunities to party!

Would you recommend the city and university of Nottingham to other students?

Yes, I would because it has lots of places to visit and you will always discover something new. With the city not being too big, you get to know the people and way around the area more easily.

What was the food like?

You know, it's English food, so don't expect much...

Was it hard to find accommodation there?

No, because I was offered it by the university.

How much did it cost to live in Nottingham?

Approximately, it cost £2500 per semester, but that depends on where you live. There are very cheap flats that you can rent in Lenton.

What was the language like? Did you do take it up at the University?

I was around level B2 when I arrived, and although the first few days were a bit difficult, I soon adapted and improved. It was great because, unlike other areas in England, there are barely any Spanish-speaking people here, so you have to learn it, whether you like it or not.

What was the most economically viable way of getting to Nottingham from your part of Spain?

By plane from Seville to East Midlands airport (EMA).

Where would you recommend going out in Nottingham?

Clubbing wise: Pryzm, Ocean, Rock city, Ink.

Bar wise: Bier Keller, La Bodega, Ba Bar, Pitcher and Piano.

There are tonnes!

What were your favourite places to eat in Nottingham?

Ugly bread bakery and five guys.

What should you do to appreciate the culture?

Go to Sherwood Forest, Wollaton Park, the area of Robin Hood, the caves and old market square.

What advice would you give to future students coming to Nottingham?

It's a once in a lifetime experience, so enjoy it!
