What is it like to live in Nicosia? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Nicosia is a multicultural city, and has people from all over the world. It's the only divided capital in Europe since the North part of the city is illegally occupied by Turkey and cannot be visited unless you show your passport.

What is the student lifestyle like in Nicosia?

The student life here is very nice. There are a lot of places for students to go and chill.

How much does it cost to live in Nicosia?

Not that much. The cost of living here is affordable and the prices are in a normal level.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Nicosia? Is there any advice you can give?

It's not so hard. The only advice I can give is to contact the university so they book you a place to stay in the university campusm

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The Cyprus food is very good and is of Mediterranean style. I would recommend to taste souvlakia, sheftalia, and of course the traditional Cyprus cheese hallumi.

What places would you recommend visiting in Nicosia?

Nicosia has not much sightseeing to see. But Cyprus is a small country and all cities can be accessed within 2 hours the most by car. The best places is Nicosia is the old town and Ledras steet.

Is it good to eat out in Nicosia? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

In Nicosia you can find food of all tastes, italian cuisine, armenian, arab and of course traditional taverns where you can enjoy the Cyprus meze.

Is the nightlife good in Nicosia? Where is good to go?

Again there are a lot of places to go to satisfy all the tastes. There are rocks bars, cocktail bars, bars with live greek music, and many nightclubs.

What advice would you give future students heading to Nicosia?

To enjoy their time here, visit the whole island and see the beauties of each city. Bring their swimsuit with them and enjoy the great weather Cyprus has to offer and swim in the crystal waters of Ayia Napa and Protaras beaches.
