I wanted to learn Greek.

2 semesters.

What is the student lifestyle like in Nicosia?

Much studying but also to go out and have parties.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Nicosia to other students?

I'm studying at the university of Cyrus, not at the University of Nicosia.

I can really recommend the old campus, it's cozy. The new campus is modern, but I don't like it that much. Further the new campus is far from the city center.

What is the food like?

I'm vegan. In Cyprus you can find many good vegan main dishes or deserts. Try Loukoumades!

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Nicosia?

No.

How much does it cost to live in Nicosia?

About 300 in a single apartment, less in a shared flat.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

It's difficult to learn Greek but everybody speaks English.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Nicosia from your city?

I live in Nicosia.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Nicosia?

Onasagorou street.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Nicosia?

There are also many nice restaurants in the onasagorou street.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Paphos- and Famagusta-Gate, museums, the Greek/Turkish-border, the city walls and the remains of an aqueduct.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Nicosia in the future?

The bus-connection is really bad, so choose your place of accommodation well.
