Why did you choose to go to Nicosia, Cyprus?

For the landscape, the hot summer and because this island is amazing

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

For me I stay 9 months there, I have a grant around 200€, you can find accomodation from 250€ to 400€ or more per month.

What is the student lifestyle like in Nicosia?

You can do parties almost every night ! During fall semester there is more people and you can enjoy the country and the heat from September until the begining of November

Would you recommend the city and the University of Nicosia to other students?

Nicosia is pretty small but it's ok, you can go to other countries and it's really cheap.

What is the food like?

It's ok, only the meat isn't that good.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Nicosia?

No, you can turn you to ESN and they will help you or on Facebook.

How much does it cost to live in Nicosia?

250€ for the flat and then it depends if you like to go out ! but for the food it's not expensive

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

there are languages courses, you can have all your courses in English but it depends of you studies, some people had their courses in greek.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Nicosia?

Follow the organised parties and you will see ! I'm used to go to Omnia

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Nicosia?

You can go in Ledras street and there are many many restaurants where you can try Meze, the tipical meal in Cyprus

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Museum in Nicosia, the border with North Cyprus, Rock of Aphrodite.. Trodos Mountain

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Nicosia in the future?

Just come you won't regret it !
