The city might seem chaotic the first days, most of all if you are used to living in a small city. But you can easily get used to it thanks to the help of the nice people living there. There are many places to visit, every place is very easy to reach thanks to the means of transport.

What is the student lifestyle like in Nápoles?

The center of the city is very big, full of locals, bars, discos of different types. You can choose to spend an evening in a pub in the city center or eating a pizza on the seaside. There is really a lot of choice.

How much does it cost to live in Nápoles?

It doesn't cost very much. Prices are lower than other big European cities. Food doesn't cost a lot. If you buy a pizza in Northern Italy you pay it maybe double the prize than in Napoli. Metro and buses tickets cost one euro.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Nápoles? Is there any advice you can give?

I don't know if it is difficult.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food in Napoli is the best food in Italy. You have a great choice. A lot of desserts, different types of pasta, pizza, street food and so on. Moreover, there is traditional food that you can try just in some periods during the year, according to festivities. It is very interesting.

What places would you recommend visiting in Nápoles?

Mergellina, the walk on the seaside. All the castles: Castel dell'Ovo, Castel Sant'Angelo,... Capodimonte residence, all the churches such as Gesù Nuovo, Santa Chiara, the Dome,... The Real Palace. The National Museum and all the other exhibition all over the year.

Is it good to eat out in Nápoles? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

It is really good. I advice to eat in the restaurants in Mergellina, or by Sorbillo, Lombardi, Di Matteo, Pellone if you want a good pizza on the city center. Or by Luise for some snacks or desserts. If you want a good Babbà or Sfogliatella you can buy it by Leopoldo, there are many Leopoldo shops in the city.

Is the nightlife good in Nápoles? Where is good to go?

It is good to go in Vomero quarter where there are many pubs.

What advice would you give future students heading to Nápoles?

I advise you to enjoy all the possibilities that this beautiful city has to offer. Don't be scared because of the chaotic appearance and by the enthusiasm of Neapolitans. Understand their traditions and try to live them and enjoy them as they do. It is worthy.
