What is it like to live in Napoli? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Live in Naples is a daily adventure. Most of people are friendly and never say no for a coffee. They are very easygoing! It's not a international city and not many people speak English but don't worry everybody understand you when you will asking them for something. I recommend an experience in Naples because is a beautiful city with many place to visit, I think one of most rich of culture city in Italy.

What is the student lifestyle like in Napoli?

You have to wake up early the morning for three reasons: One because the train will be late. Second because you have to take a "sfogliatella" for breakfast to the bar and last because if you meet someone you have to take a coffee with him (you can't say no! remember... ).

How much does it cost to live in Napoli?

Less of Paris, London and Madrid. Like Barcelona more o less. For rent a room maybe 200-300 euro par month. If you go to a club and you're a man, entrance is normally around 15 € (plus drinks); if you're a girl, it's usually free.

A metro ticket is 1 €...

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Napoli? Is there any advice you can give?

Is not difficult to find a room in sharing with other student or an independent flat. Usually on the wall of university there are several advertisements about this... I don't have advice because I have never looked for that.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Super, after my experience in France, Spain, Greece, England, I can say that the Italian food is the best, and don't forget that the pizza was born here, in Naples...

What places would you recommend visiting in Napoli?

The historic city centre, during Christmas is very beautiful, but also during other period of years, there is the park of Capodimonte, many museums if you like, The Castel dell'Ovo, Plebiscito square, The S. Martino castle, The voulcan Vesuvio, Pompei, etc.

Is it good to eat out in Napoli? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes, there are many cheap and very good places where you can eat and enjoy. I like Brasseria (Agnano), Malone (Vomero), Pizzeria Michele (near Trianon theatre) is a MUST, Lucignolo (Nazionale square).

Is the nightlife good in Napoli? Where is good to go?

During work day in the night there aren't many people in the pub, disco, etc., so many of them are closed. But you can find same pubs always open like I Baretti to S. Pasquale square. In the week-end there are same disco in the centre of Naples like Shine, Hollywood, Divino but you have to have the car or call an taxi for come back home (no Train, no metro, and probably no bus or it will be late).

What advice would you give future students headed to Napoli?

Don't worry, you will enjoy your experience in Naples for sure! The best period is in the second semester of university because the weather will be better!
