What is it like to live in Napoli? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Well, Napoli is a very nice city and I do recommend it. The are a lot of things to do in Napoli and that is why you never get bored. Naples truly offers a little something for everyone. The historic center can be crowded and chaotic, but the local color is what you came for.

It is the right place for people who love art, to visit monuments and historical places. Naples is the home to one of Italy's best archaeological museums: the National Archaeological Museum. The museum was one of the first of its kind to be built in Europe.

San Carlo Theater – the oldest working theatre in Europe, the beautiful San Carlo Theater is also Italy’s largest.

What is the student lifestyle like in Napoli?

Lifestyle in Napoli is different based on people and their interests.

How much does it cost to live in Napoli?

Prices in Napoli are not high and if I compare it with the quality, I will say it is cheaper than other places in Italy.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Napoli? Is there any advice you can give?

It is not hard to find accommodation. There are many hostels /hotels/bed&breakfast.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

One of the best things in Napoli is the food. It's actually the birthplace of the original wood-fired Neopolitan pizza, making the city worth a visit. Antica Pizzeria Port'Alba is Napoli's oldest pizzeria, so if you're looking for tradition and authenticity, give that one a try. And all the other food that Italy does right, Naples does right too — pasta, seafood, and pastries are mostly all delicious here.

What places would you recommend visiting in Napoli?

Some of the places I would recommend are:

  • The Vesuvius
  • Pompeii
  • Piazza del Plebiscito
  • Piazza del Municipio
  • Maschio Angioino
  • Piazza della Borsa
  • Galleria Umberto I

Naples hosts 3 castles worth a look.

  • The 12th century Castel dell’Ovo (Egg Castle), dominates the Neapolitan seafront from its island position.
  • Castel Nuovo (New Castle) overlooking the port.
  • Castel Sant’Elmo, standing high over the city, offers panoramic views from its ramparts and forts to the bay below.

Is it good to eat out in Napoli? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

As I mentioned before, to eat out in Napoli is a great and worthy experience. A lot of diversity food to eat for every kind of tastes.

The Da Donato restaurant will also treat its guests with speciality pizza and will offer a great choice of traditional Italian dishes as well.

Is the nightlife good in Napoli? Where is good to go?

Nightlife in Napoli is amazing and really great. There are a lot of pubs and bars where you can find nice and different type of music. There are organized evenings and free ones. Lounge bars are not missing for people who prefer something more calm and a relax evening.

What advice would you give future students heading to Napoli?

Don't hesitate to visit and experience one of the best places of Italy. You won't be disappointed.
