Why did you choose to go to Montpellier, France?

Good laboratory level in life sciences, molecular biology. Localisation and opinion of other former erasmus students.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

Five months. Money from Erasmus was not sufficient at the begining but it occured that there is a great social help from CAF as far as accomodation is concerned. At UM2 it is also possible to recieve money from an internship at laboratory (amount depends on many issues, mine was ~400 euros)

What is the student lifestyle like in Montpellier?

Students have enouth time to both work/study and to relax and party :)

Would you recommend the city and the University of Montpellier to other students?

Yes

How much does it cost to live in Montpellier?

~500 euro was enough for me

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes. Yes.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Montpellier from your city?

The easiest and fastest is to fly to Paris, Nice or Marseille and take the TGV, but it's not the cheapest way. It is also possible to take a bus directly to Mtpl, but the journey takes ~30h

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Montpellier?

University restaurants are good and cheap for a dinner. In the evening it is also good to visit the city centre and look somwhere there.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Montpellier in the future?

Just GO.
