What is the student lifestyle like in Montpellier?

Montpellier is a student village, so the environment is amazing! You´ll see young people wherever and from so many countries!

Would you recommend the city and the University of Montpellier to other students?

I completely do.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Montpellier?

Yes, a lot. If you don´t get the CROUS residence, sometimes it will be difficult to find a place. I recommend you to look for it before arriving in September, because then it´s a chaos!

How much does it cost to live in Montpellier?

In the public residence, from CROUS, and with the public help (CAF), the room will take just 135 euros, more or less.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Montpellier from your city?

From Montpellier to Madrid I used to travel by bus. Although it´s a long travel (around 12 hours), if you get the ticket in advance, a round-trip ticket can cost just 34 euros! And the good thing is that you can go with two big valises!

Another way to travel, it´s getting the train to Marseille, and then picking the plane to Madrid with Ryanair.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Montpellier?

Party in Montpellier is the thing that is never missed! You have a lot of bars, pubs and discos to go any day of the week. Usually, people go on Monday to the Australian Bar (because beer is cheaper this day), on Tuesday we always party in Point Zero, on Wednesday it is in Cargo and on Thursday you must go to O Bar! Then, on the weekend, it will be a nice choice going to Macadam, Panama or La Ville Rouge, for example.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Montpellier?

I used to eat in the university restaurants at Bouttonet, Triolet or Paul Valery.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

In Montpellier there´s always things to do! A lot of festivals during the year (wine one, music, sports... ), theaters, cinema and other activities.
