Manchester is a great city for students. There are three universities there, lots of young people, shopping malls, two large football clubs, numerous clubs, bars and restaurants. Actually, Manchester is the best place for every young person.

What is the student lifestyle like in Manchester?

It is great. As I already said in the previous question, there are three large universities in the city, one of which is very prestigious (The University of Manchester). There are lots of places for entertainment. There is something for anyone always.

How much does it cost to live in Manchester?

Accommodation, bills and all other expenses (transport, food, life as a whole) may be 1000 pounds. It is quite cheap compared to London.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Manchester? Is there any advice you can give?

No, it is not. As I already said, it is a student city so there are lots of flats, houses and rooms for rent.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

There are lots of fast food restaurants, maybe food and gastronomy is the main drawback of Manchester.

What places would you recommend visiting in Manchester?

Old Trafford, Trafford Shopping Centre.

Is it good to eat out in Manchester? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

It mainly depends on the place. The good restaurants are quite expensive.

Is the nightlife good in Manchester? Where is good to go?

Nightlife is great. There are quite a lot of nice places at Deansgate Locks, some of them are expensive. Fallowfield is the place for students- numerous clubs and it is cheap.

What advice would you give future students heading to Manchester?
