What is it like to live in Manchester? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Let me start introducing Manchester first, this is large size city where everyone from different backgrounds can find something to do, if you want to go out to eat, Manchester has lots of restaurants from Latin, Eastern European to Asian cuisine. Manchester offers loads of opportunities from volunteers work, support and internship. Always something to do.

First of all I would recommend to visit all museums and walk around the city to know where is everything. Secondly check out clubs in town. Lastly, ensure not to take a taxi from 5-6 traffic.

What is the student lifestyle like in Manchester?

Student lifestyle in Manchester is all about studying 2 weeks before the exams and going out a lot.

How much does it cost to live in Manchester?

Well, I am renting a house with 2 other friends so it costs £250 rent a month for me, bills around £30, food wise £20 a week.

Just to let you know, going out to eat in town is quite expensive, but there are a few restaurants where you can eat a starter plus a main course just for £9. 99 (Prezzo restaurant).

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Manchester? Is there any advice you can give?

There are a few things that you need to know if you want to find some flats to rent- try to do it online or buy a newspaper to rent private accommodation. Do not look through agencies because they charge you with extra fees and you also need to have evidence of income.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

I would recommend the Italian restaurant Prezzo or Rozafa Greek.

What places would you recommend visiting in Manchester?

The shopping centre.

Is the nightlife good in Manchester? Where is good to go?

Deansgate Locks, Gay Village or Printworks.

What advice would you give future students heading to Manchester?

To be careful with who they living with if it's a students accommodation.
