Why did you choose to go to Manchester, UK?

I've always wanted to study in the UK as it has one of the best education systems in Europe, and Manchester was one of the options I could choose from. So I choose Manchester because the university is really good.

How much was your grant? How much money did you receive for support?

I went to Manchester for five months and received about 115 from the EU and I am waiting for some from the government, which is about 100 (pittance! )

What's student life like in Manchester?

The city is totally prepared for university students. In fact, there are few old people around here and it's full of different pubs and clubs, and all of them are really varied.

Of course. It's a great city with lots to discover.

English food is bad, but being a very multicultural city you can find everything.

Was it difficult to find accommodation in Manchester?

Quite difficult yes, but only because I came for the last semester. If you stay all year it's really easy. It's recommended for students to live in Fallowfield, the university district par excellence. (I live in the centre and it's great to live here, just harder to find something cheap).

How much does it cost to live in Manchester?

It's expensive, especially if we consider the change from the pound to the euro, but there are some supermarkets like Aldi and Lidl that are really cheap.

How's the language? Did you go to a course at the University?

You have to know English, without it you can't get by here.

What is the cheapest way to get to Manchester from your hometown?

Ryanair from lots of cities in Spain or Easyjet to Liverpool.
